Sports Afield’s Trophy Property of the Month is on today’s (Feb 14, 2019) edition of Outdoor Wire (outdoorwire.com).

 

America’s leading landowners added more than 1 million acres to their portfolios in 2018. That’s one of the many takeaways from the 2018 Land Report 100 sponsored by LandLeader. Five new landowners and one returnee were added to the list. The minimum acreage required to join America’s most exclusive club? 150,000 acres. That’s well over 200 square miles. Here are the country’s top three landowners:

1. Liberty Media chairman John Malone at 2.2 million acres.
2. Media pioneer Ted Turner at 2 million acres.
3. California’s Emmerson family at 1.956 million acres.

Reno’s biggest trade show the Safari Club International Annual Convention completed its 47^th annual gathering which had been held on Jan 9-12 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

“The 2019 Safari Club Show in Reno was by far the best show we have ever attended.  We felt the overall attendance was slightly down, but the QUALITY and number of good leads were completely off the charts”, said Thor Sichveland and Nick Dodge of Clearwater Montana Properties who were in the Sports Afield Trophy Properties booth.  They shared that not 10 minutes into the show, a gentleman approached them on listing/selling his premier Ranch he has owned near Lima, Montana.

In addition they were saturated with buyers. Over twenty buyer leads resulting in excess of $70 million.  They had such a turn out that there were moments where they had lines waiting to see them!

All in all the Convention was a great success!

Sports Afield Trophy Properties will be at the Dallas Safari Club (DSC) Convention & Sporting Expo beginning January 17-20 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.  We hope to see you there!

Reno’s biggest trade show is back this week as the Safari Club International Annual Convention kicks off  today! The Safari Club’s 47th annual convention will run from Jan. 9 to 12 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Sports Afield Trophy Properties is representing in booth #461 with Thor Sichveland and Nick Dodge of Clearwater Montana Properties who are pictured here.  More than 20,000 attendees from about 103 countries also are expected, bringing an estimated economic impact approaching $20 million.
