Ketchikan, Alaska (Ketchikan Gateway)
Hidden Inlet Resort is located 75 miles from Ketchikan in beautiful Southeast Alaska. This area of Alaska is well known for its spectacular scenery, pristine waterways, abundant wildlife, and world-class fishing. The property encompasses 10.08 upland acres plus 13.58 acres of Surveyed Tidelands for a total of 23.68 acres with 1,317 feet of water frontage. Developed on the historical site of the Hidden Inlet Canning Co. Cannery (circa 1911), the resort still uses the original Powerhouse for storage and to house the fish cleaning station and the 8X10 walk-in freezer. The dock system has power and lights and includes a large “L” shaped dock with a 40 foot ramp leading to the 150 foot causeway. There is an additional floating dock which can be attached to the main dock for extra tie-ups and a breakwater protects the whole dock system. Guest cabins on the property include (4) two-story log cabins that will accommodate up to six guests in each, and (3) additional guest cabins that sleep two guests in each (renovated, original 1930’s cannery cabins). All cabins are connected by an extensive boardwalk system constructed from 6 foot wide Yellow Cedar. Guests can enjoy socializing in the waterfront dining lounge which comfortably seats 20 people and offers breathtaking views of the beach and inlet. A spacious three bedroom, one bathroom ranch style home serves as the Caretaker’s house and allows for year-round security and maintenance of the property. Additional features of this fantastic property include a covered fuel storage area holding 6000 gallons diesel and 2000 gallons gas, water filtration system, 2 generators for power (20kw and 32kw), septic system, satellite internet, wireless and phone.
Southeast Alaska has some of the greatest salmon fishing in the world with five different species of salmon showing at different times all summer long. This combined with the abundant Halibut, Cod, and Rockfish make an Alaska fishing trip an unbeatable experience.
